Celebrating 16 months!

Payton turned 16 months old last weekend. She had her Bubba and her Sis around to help celebrate, along with Nanny and Pop Pop. Unfortunately, Payton decided to give pink eye a chance and shared it with her Momma. Needless to say, her 16 month birthday and Father's Day were pretty uneventful.

Minus the pink eye, Payton had a pretty fun month. Nanny and Pop Pop came in for a surprise visit, Daddy had a vacation week and both Bubba and Sissy were around to play with. Let's just say Payton got lots of attention. We had a couple of pool days at Aunt Shirley's house and Payton LOVES the water. She has her own little pool to play in and loves to run through the sprinkler too. We are hoping to get a visit to Oceans a Fun sometime this summer, I know she will love it!

These days Payton is talking A LOT! She will try to repeat anything you say, so Daddy and Mommy are trying to be a little more careful =) The cutest is when she tries to say Cami, she for some reason can't pronounce the "ca" it comes out "t". I will have to get it on video, but she calls her T-T instead of Cami. It's nice to be able to communicate with her a little more. She knows milk and water, snacks and goldfish, up and down, she tells us when she is done eating or wants more of something. Trust me there are still plenty of meltdowns when we don't know what she wants. It has been really fun hearing her voice and having little mini conversations. We took a video of a few of her favorite words, these are the ones she likes to scream...

These days it is just Momma, Dadda and Payton. Nanny and Pop Pop had to go back to Florida, Sissy is on vacation with her mom and Bubba went to spend time with his mom and friends. Payton hasn't missed a beat. That girl is seriously the best thing ever. She loves to be chased, she thinks it is cool that she can take off her diaper and for some reason she likes to wear mommy and daddy's socks as shoes. Aaron and I got pretty lucky with her and we both love her to pieces! I will try to do better and write more often. Here are some fun photos from the past month.
