Tay Tay is 8 months!

Fall is here and Taylor is 8 months old. It's been another rough month with a lot of runny noses and coughing. All us girls are feeling it this week. Hoping an end is in the near future. Taylor has it the worst with this cough that just won't go away and it has been keeping her up at night. She is still growing and changing and trying new things. I can't believe it's already been 8 months!

So this month, we went on our first road trip to McHenry, Illinois! Taylor and Payton were excited to see their cousins. The drive there wasn't so bad since we left fairly early in the morning and the girls got to sleep through half of it. It helped that we had the new van and all that space. Dad drove the whole way while I hung out in the back with the girls. We had plenty of movies and activities for the drive. It was a fun little vacation and spending time with the family. It's always fun seeing the cousins play together. The following weekend we had more family time in Iowa. Thankfully, that was a shorter trip. We will definitely take a break from road trips for a little bit.

Taylor is still eating pretty well and trying new foods. She loves her little puff snacks and is doing a great job of picking them up and feeding herself. When it comes to baby food she's a hot mess. She likes to whack the spoon out of my hand, put her fingers in her mouth, spread it all over the high chair and her face. It's always fun when it's time to eat.

It's always fun to see how much Taylor loves her sister. She watches her every move and wants to do all the things she does. Taylor is working on moving around. She hasn't mastered crawling yet, but somehow scoots her butt around from one end of the room to another. She's trying to pull herself up on everything which is a little scary sometimes. She's growing up fast and watching Payton's every move seems like it is helping her grow up faster.
Taylor and Payton have the most fun in the bath together. They can play with the same toys and neither feels left out. Taylor gets a little crazy with the splashing. I'm sure she is going to love the water come summertime. I know Payton can't wait for her little sister to start playing with her. Hopefully they continue to get along.
