We are getting close to the end of these monthly posts for my girl. Only 3 more until I have a 2 yr old on my hands. Although, this girl could pass for a 2 yr old. Taylor is definitely at the top when it comes to her height. We are still patiently waiting for that hair to come in. I'm hoping by her 2nd birthday we could at least have a little pony tail.
My little lady was finally able to start Tiny Tot gymnastics. It had been rough taking Payton once a week and running after Taylor most of the time. The girl would barely sit still and was constantly trying to get onto the floor. I checked everyday and finally got the okay once she turned 20 months old. We are still a work in progress and Taylor is the youngest in her class by far. We have had multiple melt downs and tantrums, but also some successes. She is learning to jump on the trampoline and loves doing her forward roles. Taylor still wants to try and run around the gym, but I think after a few more sessions she is going to be a little easier.
Taylor also really likes trick or treating. She is Wonder Woman this year and we were able to go to our first trunk or treat. I was a little worried, but Taylor got the whole, hold out your basket and get a treat thing down pretty quickly. She just followed her sister and made it happen. I had to dump out her bucket once so she could get if filled again. The girl loves her sugar for sure. We are limiting the girls to 3 pieces a day so hopefully we can make it last awhile. We definitely aren't looking forward to the freezing cold weather this week, but we will make sure to fill up those buckets just a little.
Luckily, we made the first dentist visit happen before all the candy consumption. Since Payton was due for one and Taylor definitely has some teeth, we decided to let Taylor tag along. We let Payton go first so she could show her sister how it's done. Payton is a pro of course. Taylor was not a fan of the chair at all. We even had Payton try to lay in it with her, but she wouldn't even lay down. The visit was more of a teeth brushing and checking out her bite. We do need to start thinking about how we are going to take that binky away. Normally it is just a night thing, but she has become really attached lately. I'm trying not to worry about it right now, but as we get closer to her 2nd birthday we are going to have to be on it.
Taylor has a lot of favorites. She loves to swing, she loves to eat with her hands, she loves to dance, she loves to do whatever her sister does and she really, really loves fruit snacks. That girl wants to eat 5 bags a day. I have to hide the box because she knows where they are and continues to grab them out of the pantry. I am thankful that Taylor will eat most anything, but she definitely has a sweet tooth.
Love this girl and so ready to spend the holidays with family.
